Where village meets water
Stay by the sea in Néa Karváli
Néa Karváli lies on the coast just east of Kavala, a village founded by families who arrived from Cappadocia in the 1920s and still visibly proud of that history. It is a place where people live year-round, which gives it a steadiness that resort towns do not have. Maria Apartments stands within walking distance of the water, in the middle of that ordinary, welcoming daily life.
The property is also well placed for driving. Néa Karváli provides convenient road access for travellers exploring Northern Greece, with Kavala in one direction and the route toward Keramoti and the Thassos ferry in the other. We describe this as regional context rather than exact timings, since traffic and season change them.

The beach and the village
The beach is the first thing most guests do and the last thing they give up. With roughly thirty metres between the property and the shore, swimming becomes part of the daily routine rather than an outing. Early mornings are calm, and evenings bring families down to the water as the heat drops.
Inland from the beach the village offers what you actually need: somewhere to buy bread and vegetables, tavernas where the menu depends on the day, and the Ethnological Museum a few minutes on foot that explains the community's Cappadocian roots. More on the village is available from Visit Kavala.
Discover Kavala
Kavala is approximately 10 to 11 km away and rewards a full day. The old quarter of Panagia climbs toward a fortress above the harbour, the Kamares aqueduct cuts across the city, and the Archaeological Museum of Kavala, approximately 11 km from the property, holds finds from across the region. Down at sea level the waterfront is where the city eats and walks in the evening.
Coming back to a quiet village afterwards is part of the appeal. You get the city without having to sleep in it. For wider planning across the country, Discover Greece is a good reference.
